MiniRoos (Under 6s and 7s)

• 4 players a side

• Mixed teams play on Saturday mornings. Girls only teams play on Sunday mornings.

• No goal keeper

• Game duration is 40 minutes (2 x 20 minute halves)

• Size 3 ball

• No offside rule

• No throw ins

• No corner kicks

• Points tables do not apply. The recording of match results is purely to assign teams to the most appropriate division to ensure an even playing field.

MiniRoos (Under 10s - Under 12s*)

• 9 a side including a goal keeper

• Under 10 and Under 11's game time is 50 minutes (2 x 25 minute halves)

• Size 4 ball

• Mixed teams play on Saturday mornings. Girls only teams play on Sunday mornings.

• Throw ins and offside rules apply

* Note: NWSF (following the direction of FNSW) has made a decision to maintain U12 football under the the non-competition MinRoos format, meaning that it will remain 9-a-side, with a maximum game-day squad of 14. It is considered that the jump from 9-a-side, 50 minute games to 11-a-side full format games is not conducive to player development or enjoyment (i.e. most players spend most of the time trying to cover a very large field, often at the expense of playing football i.e. getting sufficient touches of the ball to both enjoy the game and develop).
