* Note: NWSF (following the direction of FNSW) has made a decision to maintain U12 football under the the non-competition MinRoos format, meaning that it will remain 9-a-side, with a maximum game-day squad of 14. It is considered that the jump from 9-a-side, 50 minute games to 11-a-side full format games is not conducive to player development or enjoyment (i.e. most players spend most of the time trying to cover a very large field, often at the expense of playing football i.e. getting sufficient touches of the ball to both enjoy the game and develop).
