* Note: NWSF (following the direction of FNSW) has made a decision to maintain U12 football under the the non-competition MinRoos format, meaning that it will remain 9-a-side, with a maximum game-day squad of 14. It is considered that the jump from 9-a-side, 50 minute games to 11-a-side full format games is not conducive to player development or enjoyment (i.e. most players spend most of the time trying to cover a very large field, often at the expense of playing football i.e. getting sufficient touches of the ball to both enjoy the game and develop).

At this stage, NWSF have not advised expected playing time, however, it can be expected to be a minimum of 50 minutes (i.e. 2x 25 minute halves) as played in U11s in 2021 or 60 minutes being (2x 30 minute halves) as played by 2021’s U12s on a full size field.
